Susan McBrearty is an avid reader. She moved to Oswego with her husband in 1987 and shared her love of reading with their two daughters. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, and reading. Susan was invited to join the Oswego Bookmobile Steering Committee in 2014. She welcomed the opportunity to support their mission of empowering kids to be readers. She was elected President in 2015 and led the process of incorporating the group as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, which was granted in 2017. She is chair of the Vehicle Committee, sits on the Fundraising and Personnel Committees, and writes the grants for the program. She earned her BA in Anthropology from SUNY Oswego and currently works at Walgreens in Oswego.
Favorite children’s book: Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers
Matt McCrobie joined the Bookmobile's Board of Directors in October 2021. Matt recently returned to his hometown of Oswego with his family after spending time in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and most recently, Chicago. He works as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York. Matt is excited to share his love of reading through the Bookmobile.
Favorite children’s book: Redwall by Brian Jacques
Molly Clark is a retired elementary school librarian who believes in the power of reading for fun. She was a member of the original bookmobile committee and is thrilled to return to the organization. Molly also serves on the board of the Oswego Public Library and is a substitute teacher. She enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. Her favorite children's books are Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor and anything by Mo Willems.
Jeanne Rotunno has been Treasurer of the Bookmobile for about four years. She has worked in the accounting and tax preparation field for over 35 years. A lifelong reader, her favorite genre is historical fiction, though she reads all genres and participates in a book club that exposes her to new authors and subjects. She looks forward to bringing her two grandchildren to the bookmobile when they visit each summer.
Favorite children’s book: Sneetches and Other Stories by Dr. Seuss
Alison Anderson is a life-long reader and an English and literacy teacher with the Oswego City School District. Alison has worked with students to develop reading and writing skills at the middle and high school levels, and as an adjunct professor at SUNY Oswego.
Katelyn Caza has been on the Bookmobile Board since 2019. She is currently a Co-Chair of the Fundraising and Special Events Committees. Katelyn works at Novelis Inc. as a Process Engineer.
Favorite children’s book: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
Edward Elsner joined the Bookmobile Board while his children were using it every summer and has continued on as they've grown. He works as the Librarian at the Oswego Public Library and enjoys helping people connect with information and entertainment.

Janet Josh Hutcheson is a longtime Board Member of the Oswego Bookmobile. She has worked in the field of librarianship for over 35 years. Janet’s hobbies include reading, crafting, and repurposing vintage and antique items.
Bonnie Perfetti has been involved with the Bookmobile since day one. Bonnie is the Chairperson of the Book Committee and handles ordering, stamping, and shelving books in our storage area. Bonnie worked in the library at Fitzhugh Park School for seventeen years, and is currently a sub at the Oswego Public Library.
Favorite children’s book: The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau
A native of Oswego, New York, Caroline Chatterton has a deep passion for literacy development, community connection, and lifelong learning. Caroline has been the Director of Fulton Public Library since November 2018, and has been integral in growing the library into a vibrant and valuable community resource. She serves on multiple boards and committees, including Fulton Community Betterment Corporation, North County Library System Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Oswego County Advisory Council, and Sunrise Rotary. She looks forward to joining the Oswego Bookmobile and continuing to help better her home county.

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Andrew Eusebio was eager to be an active member in his community after recently becoming a resident of the US and Oswego County. Andrew is the program coordinator for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Oswego County, and he currently serves on the board for the Friends of the Fulton Public Library. Before settling into the US, Andrew was the marketing coordinator for six years with Tafelmusik, a Toronto-based non-profit and internationally renowned orchestra and choir. Andrew believes arts and culture and literacy are essential for a community to thrive. He looks forward to supporting the Oswego Bookmobile and its mission of spreading literacy across the county.
The Narnia series by C.S. Lewis, “Madeline” by Ludwig Bemelmans, and “Have you seen Joséphine?” by Montreal author Stéphane Poulin are some of Andrew’s favorite childhood books.
An Oswego County native, Mariah Johnson first connected with the Bookmobile during her capstone project at SUNY Oswego, where she developed a deep appreciation for its mission and strengthened her commitment to community service. In 2024 she joined the Bookmobile’s board of directors and now serves as the Public Relations Chair. Mariah is the owner of MJ Public Relations, having worked with regional festivals, nonprofits and financial institutions. Her passion for PR is driven by a love of research and a dedication to community impact. Outside of her professional life, Mariah is an avid board game enthusiast, an active reader and a devoted mother.
Favorite children’s book: The Witches by Roald Dahl
Carin L. Reeve is the Director of Literacy for the Oswego City School District. Ms. Reeve has been a passionate advocate for literacy as social justice throughout her thirty-year career in education. As a successful turnaround principal, Ms. Reeve led initiatives implementing reading instruction aligned with the science of reading and explicit writing instruction which led to dramatic gains in student achievement. Ms. Reeve has worked with districts throughout New York State as a consultant for school improvement and building systems of professional learning. She has presented on the local, regional, and national stage, and her writing has been published in ASCD Express, SAANYS Vanguard, Elephant Journal, and Bluff and Vine Literary Magazine.
Favorite children’s book: Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae
Rosemary Charron Altman was born in northern Vermont, moved to Syracuse in 1981 and to Oswego in 2013. She completed a bachelor’s in business, from Columbia College, while working full-time and bringing up her daughter. Her years working in the private sector were in IT, Quality Audit and Regulatory Compliance. Her years working for NYS Department of Labor brought to light the correlation between literacy, poverty and unemployment. After retiring she accompanied her husband, Thomas Altman, of Altman Science, as a volunteer for the Bookmobile summer Driving Books Home program with STEAM and soap bubbling activities. She has a heart for assisting and encouraging others. She is often seen with a book within reach for any unscheduled time, understands the educational and recreational benefits of reading, and looks forward to doing more in support of the Oswego Bookmobile’s mission.
